Eureka Moment

Discover the weirdness, unravel the underlying secret and experience the Eureka Moment (Spoiler below).

Warning: It is more than a pure maths puzzle. Trial and error is needed to win but not needed to realize the truth.

A minimalist brain teaser puzzle made for GMTK Game Jam 2024 (Comments can be seen here)

Use a weird scale to arrange 5 blocks of different weights in ascending order. (Getting a balanced scale ≠ win)

You are advised to get a paper and a pen to record the result and do simple arithmetic. (Sorry for unable to review the history)

Controls:

(Touchscreen supported, no keyboard needed)

• Click to select the block.
• Click on the scale to place the block.
• Click the block on the scale will put it back.
• Click two blocks to swap their places.
• After putting at least 3 blocks on the scale, "Judge" will be enabled.
• Click "Judge" to see which side will the scale tip.
• Click "Retry" to repeat the process above.
• Click "Eureka!" if you think you are ready to submit your answer.
• Click "Back" if you regret pressing "Eureka!".
• Click "Judge" to submit your final answer after you finish the block inequality.

Keep in mind that knowing the truth cannot be reversed

The scale tips when the total moment (moment = weight x distance) of that side is larger. To be precise, weight of the middle blocks will be doubled and that of the farthest blocks will be tripled.
Basically, Eureka moment means scale falling from eyes, and moment determines how the scale works. It is a double wordplay.
