I have no idea what to do on level 6. I've tried everything, I swear. Of course, the one puzzle I can't figure out also happens to be the one without hints. Can I please have help? I've tried
36=9x4, but you need the 4 to make 5+4=9 or the 3 to make 3x3=9. 3x6=9x2, but you need two of a number for the = in the middle. 3+6=9, but that wastes the plus and a 3, meaning you can't do 5+4=9 or 3x3=9 4x6=9+25, but that leaves an extra x when doing the 2x3=6 and 3=3
My next best guess is that it's going for variables with the amount of x's there are or something crazy like that, but I seriously can't think of a 'normal' solution for this.
Getting two symbols together without the parentheses are not really valid for an expression, at least not the simplest. Again, don't spoil the solutions (even for potential ones) in the comment section. Thanks.
I didn't get through all the levels and got stuck on level 5 I think... But the game is extremely fun and challenging! I don't have much time right now since I have to rate another game then change my game... Sorry. I will come back after the jam is over to beat it later!
I really liked the base mechanic, really well designed and really enjoyable. In addition, the sfx of dragging the numbers is really satisfying!
Really loved the theme as well. One small suggestion(if you want to) is maybe to simplify the game a little bit for the jam version(because people are going to play the games fairly quickly) to showcase the entire game's mechanics.
I found a bug, by the way. If you have two different devices you can click with, you can seemingly delete blocks by grabbing one and clicking on another. This seems like a very niche edge case, but if you have time, it could be useful to fix.
Thank you for your report. Which browser are you using? Hope that my new update has fixed this bug as I don't have two clicking devices to reproduce it.
I am using Edge. The bug is still present. I don't frankly know how you could fix the issue. Perhaps making a seemingly redundant check for if the button is already pressed when you try to click again? IDK. I only found the glitch by chance since I'm using a laptop with a trackpad and a USB mouse. Again, it's probably an extreme edge-case that isn't worth fixing if you have literally anything else to do. But I wanted to bring it to your attention just in case.
Even with both of those hints, I'm still not seeing it. There's not much you can do with "4x" other than 2; there aren't many ways to get to "=2" without a 2.

Actually, there is a hint to level 6, i.e. the message at the beginning. According to that, your second equation is the correct one.
